As recently as 2 weeks ago an interview was given to the Glamorgan Gazette, by a Mr Dean of The Square, Pontycymmer. In the following printed article he made the statement that he had recently helped in finding the Garw Valley 'Fallen' of WW1, and also gave out numbers of the casualties involved? We would like to make it perfectly clear on this forum that Mr Dean has not been involved in this research and as such is neither qualified or sufficiently informed to comment on its final outcome. Mr Deans only role in this enterprise has been to give the G.H.V.S. a list of names from the local British Legion archive. I would like to be able to say that Mr Dean has been of great help in this project. But nothing can be further from the truth. As an apology is still not yet forthcoming from Mr Dean I have taken the liberty of informing our forum members accordingly.
