Blaengarw Hotel Staff in apx 1891

Does anyone have any information on 2 members of staff who worked at Blaengarw Hotel: Rose Smith b.1872 (Servant) and Rose Roberts b. 1863 (Barmaid)? One of these is my GG G/mother? She had a child (male) in 1898 and gave up for adoption to a family in Ogmore Vale. Believe the father to be Henry Marsh. The child was born out of wedlock and I think Rose left for America hence her giving up her son. I'm doing the family tree and pretty much stuck now as I don't know which of these Rose's is the right one to follow. Can someone help? Thanks

Do you have any idea of the name of the male child born in 1898? A search of the Birth Index on Freebmd for a child with the surname Smith or Roberts may guide you. I have here at home birth certrificates where only the mother's name appears. Only if Henry Marsh appeared in person to acknowledge paternity should his name be on the birth cert. (Although this may not always be the case -so beware). Willing to help if more info or thoughts are avaialble.
