Where does one start when defining what is and what is not in the Garw Valley?
Should we follow natural features such as water-courses, if so, do they empty into the Garw river?
What of Contours? If we were to roll down hill from any given point, into which valley would we come to an abrupt, and painful stop?
Following either of both the above seems to be a simple solution. What then of the Bettws plateau, or Gwtter Moelgilau? (The Moelgilau Fault). Every-where is down hill from Bettws, no offence meant!
The contours southward of Craig-yr-Hudol lead neither into the Garw nor Llynfi valleys. The same to some extent between City farm and Brynmenyn, which is technically on the banks of the Ogmore. A similar situation, again along the Moelgilau Fault, is where Bryn-y-Wrach steepens into Llangeinor Mountain and Cae-Abbot farm is on a knife-edge between the Garw and the Ogmore.
Your comments would be most welcome.
