Hello, On the 8th of August a few of our members took ourselves off to the Glamorgan Archives in Cardiff for a tour of the building and to view some of the information they have about the Garw Valley. What a very interesting place this is. And it is absolutely FREE to join and FREE to visit. If you can't visit, then their website address is glamro@cardiff.gov.uk
They kindly supplied for our visit a whole heap of work relating to the Garw valley during the Great War, there were maps, photographs, school log books all of which we were allowed to handle and in some cases photograph for future reference. All the members who attended thoroughly enjoyed the tour and we left excitedly planning our next trip to this 'treasure house'.
