We have an enquiry from Robert Peacock about his 'Gramp' who worked in the Ocean colliery, possibly as a foreman? Robert would like to hear from anyone who knew his grandfather. He is also interested in information about the Ocean colliery itself. Roberts father Gerald Peacock worked at the Ocean and the Ffaldau collieries. thank you

hello, I got a contact to look in the Electoral Registers for Ebbw Vale and he came back with this Peacock family: in 1925 George and Mary Peacock of Landing Houses, Pentwyn, Abersychan. (Pentwyn is a small hamlet just above Abersychan but still part of the Abersychan ward.
In 1930 there were Mary Peacock, Thomas George Peacock, Samuel Peacock, Gladys Peacock.
I am afraid that's all I have got. Of course those listed would have been over 21. The children would not have been listed. This seems to be the family you are looking for as there are no other Peacocks listed in the Abersychan area. I hope this helps.
