Hello, I was searching for the history of my Uncle Evan Davies, who was a Police constable in Cardiff City Police and was shot whilst on duty in 1941. I came across the article on this site and have recently found this article also : www.unsolved-murders.co.uk/murder-content.php?key=1343&termRef=Evan%20Thomas%20Davies. Evan was married to my Aunt Blanche Amy (nee Willis) . My Dad was William Hayden Willis and there was another brother Douglas, who fought at Dunkirk and was hit with schrapnel , which stayed with him until he passed away in the late 70'S early 80's. My Dad was in the RAF during the war and was a navigator flying Lancaster's, with an Australian crew, I believe there were other older sisters, who may have died during the influenza epidemic. If anyone has any further information about the family of Willis or Davies or could be relatives, I would be so pleased to hear from you. I feel it is time to get the family tree in order for my own two sons. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

In reply to your post of 18/July (which I have only just Read) Your father Hyden was my Dads Brother, Douglas, so we are related. I have quite a lot of information on the Willis family history, which I would be happy to share.
