Hi my name is David Jones, I live in and was born in surrey. My Dad was Basil Jones who was born and bred in Blaengarw along with his brothers John, Howard and Gwyn. They originally lived on Marion Street at number 49, I can remember being there as a small child. My Uncle Gwyn lived at 29 Blaengarw Road until he died a few years ago. My nana was Blodwen Taylor previously Jones, after re marrying when my grandfather was killed I believe in a mining accident, she re married to my granddad I knew Fred Taylor, my Dad Basil sadly passed away many years ago in 2004 but have great memories of Blaengarw as a child as we spent endless summers there when we was children. My cousins Lynne Davies still lives next door to no 29 Blaengarw Rd and my cousin Ann lives in Marion Street. I am trying to trace my grandfather Ernest Jones to see if anyone knows about the mining accident and to find more about my nana Blodwen. feel free to reply and share any information you may have, as it would be great to know about the past ....kind regards David
