Hi everyone. I am looking for information about me late father's family. I remember visiting family in the valley in the late 50s, but my parents were 'economical with the truth'. My father was born aroung 1920, and moved to Southampton sometime at the beginning of WW2, i think his mother, a nurse and midwife, was moved to an area where there was a shortage. She was nurse Alice Williams, married to James Williams, her maiden name was Killacky. She had an aunt surname Rees, who had a bakery and also a small sewing business. My father spoke with great affection about a black doctor, by the name of Rees, who practised in the valley. would be good to have any information, i am hoping to visit in the next month Thanks for reading

Hello,
A few years ago I made contact with a Mrs Killacky who lived in Sholing, whose two sons were in the Hamps. Fire Service. Mrs Killacky was a member of my paternal grandmother's family of Llewellyn originally from Llansamlet and came to the Garw post 1886. I don't remember her mentioning a Rees branch of the family. Perhaps the late Mr Killacky was related to you but only an "in-law" to my grandmother.
Colin.

Hello,
The Mrs Killacky I mentioned was Elizabeth Ann Llewellyn (Mrs John/Jack Killacky) who corresponded with me briefly from Butts Road, Sholing. She was first cousin to my paternal grandmother Hannah Llewellyn (Mrs T H Davies). Is this lady any relation to you?
