I know very little about my grandfather Edward Jones but I know he served in the first world war in the ambulance co. He originaly came to the Garw from Pembrokshire and worked in the mines where he lost his life in a mining accident. In 1910 he was a member of the Garw Ambulance team when they won the David Davies Challenge Shield I have enclosed attachment. Any information would be most appreciated.
Thank you for email Gerald sad to say I have nothing further to add regarding facts about my grandfather Edward Jones. I did have a newspaper cutting with a report of his funeral but cant seem to find it anywhere! I know he served in the first world war in the Ambulance Co. along side Thomas Kent also from the Garw. I seem to ercall stories of both men being mentioned in dispatches. Thank you once again for your effort. sunshine2
