The Glamorgan Gazette of Friday October 17th 1930 announced the completion of works to extend Tynyrheol School, Llangeinor. This would be the section nearest the steps up alongside the houses.
The Glamorgan Gazette of Friday April 20th 1894 had the following business announcement.
Llangeinor School Board
To Builders etc.
Tenders are invited for the erection of additional Accommodation for 352 children at the Ffaldau Schools, Pontycymmer. Plans and specifications may be seen and Bills of Quantity obtained of the Architect, Phillip J Thomas Esq, Bridgend. Sealed Tenders endorsed Extensions to be sent to me the undersigned not later then 2 o'clock on Wednesday, May 2nd 1894. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
Charles Williams, Clerk, Ogmore Vale R.S.O. Glam.
Charles Williams was the Rev C Williams, Hebron, Ogmore Vale, whose wife was my grandmother's aunt. Uncle Charles continued to serve on the School Board after the Local Government formation of the Ogmore & Garw Urban District Council (the parishes of Bettws, Llangeinor and Llandyfodwg) was formed which I think was in 1897.
